Helping Little Smiles Build Healthy Habits
Positive dental experiences can help children feel more comfortable caring for their smiles as they grow. At Roseville Smiles, we welcome families and take time to explain dental care in language children can understand.
Dr. Sri and our team work with parents to support healthy teeth, answer questions, and identify concerns early.
When Should My Child First Visit the Dentist?
Your child’s first dental visit should take place after their first tooth appears and no later than their first birthday.
Early visits provide an opportunity to check development, discuss home care, and help your child become familiar with dental appointments.
Care That Grows With Your Child
Depending on your child’s age and needs, care may include:
- Dental examinations and professional cleanings
- X-rays when clinically appropriate
- Assessment of cavity risk and preventive treatment needs
- Guidance on brushing, flossing, and food choices
- Monitoring tooth development and bite changes
- Discussion of habits such as thumb sucking or pacifier use
Dr. Sri will explain any recommended treatment and discuss referral to a pediatric dentist or orthodontist when appropriate.
A Comfortable, Supportive Visit
Please let us know about previous dental experiences, anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or other support needs. We can discuss ways to help your child feel more at ease and plan an appropriate approach.
Healthy Habits at Home
Help your child brush twice daily and clean between teeth that touch. Our team can demonstrate techniques and recommend a visit schedule based on your child’s needs.
