Take-Home Teeth Whitening
Custom whitening trays allow you to brighten your smile at home with guidance from our office.
We provide trays fitted to your teeth, whitening gel, and instructions for use. Wear time and treatment duration depend on the product prescribed. Use only the recommended amount of gel and follow your instructions carefully.
Is Teeth Whitening Right for Me?
Whitening works better on some types of discoloration than others. Before starting, Dr. Sri will assess your teeth and gums and discuss any existing sensitivity or dental concerns.
Whitening lightens natural teeth but does not change the color of crowns, veneers, fillings, or implant crowns. If you have visible restorations, we will discuss how this may affect the overall appearance of your smile.
Sensitivity and Comfort
Temporary tooth sensitivity or gum irritation can occur during whitening. If you experience discomfort while using a take-home product, pause treatment and contact our office for guidance.
Do not increase the amount of gel, wear time, or treatment frequency beyond your instructions.
Maintaining Your Results
Whitening results are not permanent. Coffee, tea, tobacco, and other sources of staining can affect how long your results last.
Regular brushing, flossing, and professional cleanings help maintain your smile. Touch-up whitening may be recommended based on your needs.
